Do Not Be Afraid (Based on Matthew 14:22–33)

Homilies

Peter walked on water—until fear distracted him. Isn’t that us? We start with faith, then sink when we look at the waves. But notice: Jesus didn’t scold Peter for trying. He reached out and saved him. Friends, fear is loud, but it’s not Lord. Jesus is. When life feels stormy, fix your eyes on Him, not the chaos. He doesn’t promise calm seas, but He does promise His presence. Take courage. Keep walking. Even if you sink, He’ll reach for you. And remember: sometimes the bravest step of faith is simply crying out, “Lord, save me.”
